What already works in this test build

All of these run today, on this page, off one shared state engine — an order placed in one tab appears on the tablet in another tab at once, with no reload.

The real menu: 154 items in 33 categories, with descriptions, prices and option groups — and the café's own dish photos, one photo per dish that has one (140 items). Branded soft drinks and the mango items never had a photo, so they stay without one.
Floating order button: as soon as you add an item, a bar pins itself to the bottom of the screen and stays there while you scroll — item count and total always visible, one tap to your order. When checkout scrolls into view, that same button becomes Place order.
Your cart is kept: close the page or switch apps mid-order and the cart is still there when you come back, floating order bar waiting — priced again from the live menu, and cleared only when the order is placed.
Menu search: a search box pinned at the top of the menu filters all 154 dishes by name, description or category as you type — every word you type must match, so “jerk pasta” and “iced tea” both land. Category chips beside it give one-tap browsing, a line counts what is showing, and Clear brings the full menu back.
Item dialog: tap any dish for its big photo, sizes and extras, quantity and special instructions. Burger extras always offer bacon last. Burger cards carry a “Make it yours” line naming their best ranked extras, and the burger popup repeats it above an Extra Toppings group headed “Most added” — cheese first, bacon always last.
Smart suggestions: one quiet suggestion at a time in the cart, each added only by your own tap, and each one says why it fits — “Zola Wings don’t come with fries”, “Something to drink with your wings?”, “A coffee to go with that?”. A burger that still has no extras is offered its best ranked topping (cheese first, bacon always last) added onto the burger itself — and the offer stops the moment a topping is added, it never works down the list. Zola Wings with no fries suggests fries, then a Lemonade; any other cart with no drink gets a drink picked by the hour — a coffee before noon in Banjul, a smoothie or fresh juice through the day. Sold-out items are never suggested, and “No thanks” rotates to the next ranked choice.
Delivery by dropped pin: Gambian addresses are often not exact, so delivery runs on a pin. Choosing delivery first shows the café's own popup — “We need your location to deliver to the right place”, with only Share my location and Cancel — and only Share triggers the browser's location prompt. The pin can also be dropped by tapping the big map and dragged to the exact spot — a gate, a door, the exact building — and the fee follows the pin while it moves. The customer sees the fee as one plain line (“Delivery fee D…”) with no distance, band or area named behind it; behind the scenes it comes from distance bands (D150 up to 3 km, rising to D550), shown before you pay, and coordinates are never shown to the customer. On the staff side the pin is a working link: the tablet order shows Open the pin in Maps for the rider, and the counter slip prints the same pin link. If location is refused, no pin appears at all and the typed address is priced from the café's area list instead (Brufut D150, Bijilo D300, Senegambia and Kololi D350, Serrekunda D400, Banjul D550) — a pin always wins over the address. A returning customer's saved pin is checked against a fresh location on every delivery order. Delivery needs at least D300 of food and drink — the cart says how much more is needed — and a pin beyond 30 km is outside the delivery area.
Three ways to pay: Cash, Pay with Wave (pay straight from your Wave account), and Waychit (Wave, QMoney, Afrimoney, Visa, Mastercard and more). In this test the Wave and Waychit confirmations are simulated — in the live system an order counts as paid only when Wave or Waychit confirms it.
Zola Points signup: join free at checkout, with an optional birthday (day and month only) for a greeting and a free treat on the day. Plus a separate, unticked-by-default box for offers by WhatsApp and text.
Zola Points redeem: a member whose balance has reached 100 points gets a switch at checkout — “Use 120 Zola Points for D120 off this order”. One point is D1, taken off the food and drink subtotal (never the delivery fee), and the cart total, the floating order bar and the payment link amount all drop before the order is placed. The placed order, the tablet and the counter slip all show the points used, the balance is updated on the spot, and the member earns new points at 2 percent of the amount actually paid. Below 100 points there is no switch — the balance simply keeps growing, and points never expire.
Returning customers recognised: start typing a phone number the café already knows — in any form, the short 7 digits, with 220, or the new 9 digit form — and the greeting appears as you type: the name fills in, a welcome-back line shows the Zola Points balance, saved pins are offered for delivery, and the way that customer paid last time is pre-selected. Everything stays editable, and the delivery pin itself is never shown as coordinates.
Staff tablet: new orders ring and flash until opened. Staff accept with a promised time (35 to 40 minutes is the delivery default) or decline with a reason. Accepting shows the counter slip — staff enter the order into Loyverse by hand, and only that entry prints the kitchen ticket. No online order goes straight to the kitchen.
First-order flag: the tablet flags a first order by phone and tells staff to call to confirm — always when a new customer chose cash. Try it with the seeded phones below.
Sold-out switches: staff switch an item off on the tablet and it leaves the customer menu at once.
Order progress page: every order gets a private link. The customer watches received → accepted → preparing → ready → out for delivery → delivered, sees the payment state beside it, and rates food and delivery separately at the end.

Try the full flow first (2 minutes)

Open this page in two tabs of the same browser. Keep the tablet view in one tab and the customer order view in the other. On the tablet, tap Turn sound on once.
As the returning customer: use the search at the top of the menu to find a dish, add it (watch the floating bar appear at the bottom), then check out as Test Regular, +220 700 0001 — when the phone number is typed, the form greets him by name, shows his 120.5 Zola Points and offers his saved Home pin for delivery. A “Use 120 Zola Points for D120 off” switch appears under the greeting — tick it and the order total drops by D120 before you place the order (the switch offers whole points, capped at the food and drink total). The tablet shows the points used, and his balance lands at the spent points removed plus 2 percent earned on what he actually paid. No first-order flag should appear on the tablet — the café knows this customer.
As the newcomer: place a second order as Test Newcomer, +220 700 0002, choose delivery, drop a pin near the café and pay by Wave. The tablet rings, flags it First order, and the progress page shows “payment link sent” until you tap the simulate-confirmation button.
On the tablet: open the order to stop the ringing, accept it with a promised time, and read the counter slip. Then walk it through Preparing → Ready → Out for delivery → Delivered, and watch the customer's progress page move on its own.

Putting it on order.kafezolagambia.com

Done The domain is yours. kafezolagambia.com finished transferring to your Porkbun account, DNS was restored, and the expiry is 4 January 2028. The main café site was untouched by the move.

What remains is the move to Cloudflare. That is where this build will be hosted, with the order name attached to it properly — the main café site at www and the root stay exactly as they are. Four moves, done together, in order. The account taps stay yours; I walk you through each one.

Create the free Cloudflare account, in your name. Add kafezolagambia.com to it. Cloudflare reads the domain's existing DNS records across — before continuing, check the list it finds against what is live today (the root record, www, and the Google site verification record). Nothing about the main site changes at this point.
Move the nameservers. Cloudflare gives you two nameservers of its own. Sign in at porkbun.com, open kafezolagambia.com, and replace the current nameservers with the two Cloudflare ones. Then wait for Cloudflare to show the domain as active — this is the one step that takes time to settle, and nothing else works until it does.
Upload this build. The whole build goes up as one package — this page and all its dish photos together, nothing left behind. The menu, the search, the floating order bar, the tablet view and the progress view all travel in the same upload.
Attach the name. In Cloudflare, connect the custom domain order.kafezolagambia.com to the upload. Only the order name is attached — www and the main café site are not touched.
Run the go-live check on the new address, on your phone on mobile data (not café Wi-Fi, which can cache the old state): the search at the top of the menu finds a dish; the menu loads with photos; adding a dish brings up the floating order bar at the bottom; adding Zola Wings brings up the smart suggestion in the cart; checking out as Test Regular (+220 700 0001) shows the Zola Points switch and ticking it drops the total; choosing delivery shows the location popup and a dropped pin sets the fee; a test order reaches the tablet view in a second tab; and the progress link opens after checkout. Use the two seeded test phones above so no real customer record is created.
Only after that check passes, swap the links: the Order button on the café website and Google Business Profile, the ordering links on Facebook and Instagram, and the printed QR codes in the café. Keep the old GloriaFood link working until the new address has served real orders for a few days.

One honest limit, so there are no surprises: this page is a fixed snapshot. The DNS step puts this test build on the order address — the full flow above works there between tabs on one device — but real payments (live Wave and Waychit confirmation), orders reaching the café tablet from a customer's own phone, texts and WhatsApp messages, and delivery tracking need the hosted version with its small server side. That is the planned next build, and the café workflow in this test — tablet first, Loyverse by hand, kitchen ticket only from Loyverse — carries into it unchanged.
